About Us

OUR BACKGROUND

Our Story

Founded in 2019 by South Sudanese women leaders from the diaspora, LEAD emerged from a shared vision to contribute to the recovery and development of communities affected by conflict, displacement, and poverty. What began as a grassroots initiative supporting vulnerable families through education and humanitarian assistance has grown into a nationally recognized organization championing community-led development.

Today, LEAD partners with communities, institutions, and development actors to promote peace, strengthen livelihoods, protect human rights, and create opportunities for women and youth. We believe that sustainable change begins within communities, and our role is to empower people to shape resilient futures for themselves and generations to come.

Our Vision

A cohesive and developed society in which all humans are equally empowered.
